Ultra-Thin Automatic Flying Tourbillon
This calibre is a true in-house creation, developed from the ground up to express Bianchet’s vision of the ultra-thin automatic flying tourbillon. The movement was conceived as a complete architecture, where every component serves a clear purpose: reducing thickness, improving efficiency, and maintaining long-term stability.
Several key components are machined in-house, giving full control over quality, tolerances, and finishing. This approach provides the freedom to shape each mechanism according to the original concept, without the constraints of standardised outsourced parts. It ensures consistency, precision, and a strong mechanical identity.
Flying Tourbillon
At the core of this architecture, the regulating system adheres to the principles of flatness and efficiency. The mechanism features a flying flat tourbillon, which is driven laterally by a toothed pallet bridge. To further minimize thickness, the pallet fork and the anchor have been combined into a single component within the escapement.
This integration eliminates an additional layer, thereby simplifying the structure surrounding the tourbillon.
Gear Train
The arrangement of the gear train emphasizes operational efficiency, with the gear train situated laterally to facilitate the use of the central area for the regulating system. The eight-day wheel is designed to ensure that the great wheel and barrel are aligned at a uniform level, thereby mitigating fluctuations in their transmission.
This deliberate geometric configuration ensures that minor discrepancies can counterbalance one another, thereby fostering a stable flow of energy toward the escapement mechanism.
Barrel
The movement was engineered to achieve a high level of thinness while ensuring stability and precision. At its core lies a flying barrel, wherein the ratchet wheel is integrated directly into the drum. This innovative design eliminates unnecessary layers, allowing the barrel cover to drive the gear train effectively.
Consequently, this results in a more compact architecture that facilitates energy transfer through fewer stacked components, thereby optimizing the utilization of available space.
Automatic Winding
This coherent architecture extends to the winding and time-setting mechanism. The caliber uses an angular transmission system with frontal toothing, thereby enhancing energy transfer efficiency throughout the mechanism.
The automatic winding is unidirectional and reinforced with anti-reversal gears, ensuring that each rotor movement directly contributes to the winding of the mainspring.

Bianchet produces tourbillon timepieces exclusively. Not as a complication added to a watch, but as the watch's founding reason for existence. Every calibre is an in-house flying tourbillon, conceived, developed, and assembled in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The tourbillon is not the feature. It is the philosophy.
Double Strap
The UltraFino’s fully integrated high-density carbon bracelet enhances the watch’s fluidity and ergonomics, following the contours of the curved case to create an unbroken line of sculptural elegance.
A vulcanized natural rubber strap with a titanium deploying buckle offers an alternative styling option, enhancing versatility while maintaining a perfect seamless integration with the case’s rubber seam.
