There are moments in watchmaking when form and function converge so perfectly that a timepiece can transcend its category. The Bianchet UltraFino watch is one of those moments—a creation born not from the need to break records, but from a vision to harmonize beauty, technical mastery, and daily wearability.

A few weeks before the start of Geneva Watch Week, Bianchet proudly announced the UltraFino, a luxurious sports watch that redefines elegance, performance, and wearable art. Crafted for connoisseurs who demand both beauty and resilience, this new timepiece represents the next evolution in Bianchet’s pursuit of Haute Horlogerie excellence.
This is not just the story of a new watch. It’s the story of what happens when a brand chooses to follow a deeper philosophy—the pursuit of mathematical beauty and performance, guided by the eternal Golden Ratio.

A Design Born from a Ratio That Defines the Universe
From the curvature of a seashell to the spirals of galaxies, the Golden Ratio (1.618) appears in the very fabric of nature. At Bianchet, it’s more than a source of inspiration, it’s a design language, a blueprint for elegance. The lines and the proportion of the UltraFino have been calculated and refined according to this divine formula.
The result? A watch that doesn’t just look right—it feels right. Whether worn with a suit or a casual shirt, the UltraFino hugs the wrist with an organic grace that’s rare in the world of luxury tonneau-shaped sports watches.

Why Ultra-Thin? Why Now?
Thin watches have long been admired for their elegance—but elegance often came at the cost of performance. The UltraFino was created to challenge that compromise. The goal was never to build the thinnest watch in the world, but to build the most harmonious.
.
Measuring just 8.9 mm thick, the curved titanium case is an exercise in restraint and intelligence. It curves seamlessly with a 1.2 mm arc from lug to lug, offering unparalleled ergonomics. But what’s truly remarkable is what lies beneath the dial.

The Beating Heart: Bianchet’s First Automatic Flying Tourbillon
In February 2025, after almost three years of development, Bianchet released the UT01 Caliber, the most resilient of the ultra-thin automatic tourbillon movements, and a technical achievement in the world of high horology. Crafted in grade 5 titanium with a gold rotor, it only weighs 8 grams. With a thickness of 3.85 mm, it delivers more than 60 hours of autonomy and can withstand shocks up to 5,000 G—a rare feat in the world of ultra-thin automatic movements.
Everything in this movement speaks the language of proportion. The rotor, shaped by 12 interlacing Fibonacci spirals, is not just beautiful—it’s efficient, fully winding the watch in less than 12 hours. The back bridges form two concentric golden circles, both aesthetic and structural, which absorb shocks in case of extreme situation, echoing the philosophical foundation upon which Bianchet was built.

Two Expressions, One Philosophy
The UltraFino comes in two distinct yet equally captivating forms:
The Skeleton version reveals the soul of the UT01 movement, a mechanical sculpture in motion. Its bridges, plates, and tourbillon cage—all finished by hand—create a captivating play of light and geometry.
The Dial version offers quiet complexity with its exclusive Golden Diamond pattern, a modern reinterpretation of the Clou de Paris, designed entirely with golden proportions. Subtle, sophisticated, and unmistakably Bianchet.
In both versions, a vulcanized rubber seam—a Bianchet signature —visually unites the bezel and case middle, reminding us that at Bianchet, form and function are always intertwined.
Rethinking the Integrated Bracelet
While the idea of a metal bracelet integrated into a watch case isn’t new, doing so within a tonneau shape is a challenge that few have attempted—and even fewer have perfected.
The UltraFino’s integrated titanium bracelet flows seamlessly from the curved case, reinforcing the watch’s sculptural identity. It doesn’t just sit on the wrist—it becomes one with it.
For those seeking a sportier alternative, a natural rubber strap with a titanium folding clasp is included, maintaining a seamless aesthetic through a precise integration with the case.
A Watch for the Present... and the Future
The B 1.618 UltraFino is not just a chapter in Bianchet’s evolution—it’s a declaration of intent. A commitment to horological integrity, wearable innovation, and aesthetic intelligence. It’s a watch for those who see time not just as something to measure, but something to elevate.
With its balanced dimensions, ultra-light movement, and visual harmony, the UltraFino proves that true Haute Horlogerie can be resilient, refined, and ready for the real world.
