The Rotondo is the natural evolution of the Maison's creative universe. Its perfectly balanced round case preserves the visual codes that have come to define Bianchet. Dynamic tension emerges through the dialogue between flowing curves and sculpted facets. Light travels across surfaces with intention, revealing depth and movement even when the watch is perfectly still.

The bezel remains deliberately pure, free from screws and visual interruptions. Beneath the sapphire crystal, the fully openworked movement takes center stage, creating an uninterrupted view into the architectural heart of the watch. Every detail serves a purpose. At Bianchet, fine watchmaking is as much about light as it is about engineering. The UltraFino Rotondo embraces this philosophy through a fully skeletonized architecture that reveals the automatic tourbillon movement in all its complexity. Rather than concealing its mechanics, the watch celebrates them.

The flying tourbillon appears suspended within space, floating beneath the crystal without an upper bridge. Around it, an open-worked titanium structure creates a landscape of depth, transparency, and motion.

Born To Be Worn

Whether accompanying a day in the city, a tennis match, or a round of golf, the Rotondo challenges the long-standing perception of the tourbillon as a fragile complication reserved for display. Despite its remarkably slim 8.9 mm profile, the watch is water resistant to 100 metres and engineered to withstand shocks of up to 5,000 Gs.

Lightness further enhances this sense of freedom. The carbon edition weighs only 48 grams including its integrated bracelet, while the titanium version weighs just 75 grams. On the wrist, the sensation is striking. The watch gradually disappears, leaving only the experience of wearing it.

Two material expressions define the collection. Grade 5 titanium offers technical refinement and understated elegance. High-density carbon introduces a contemporary performance-driven character, enhancing the visual depth of the openwork movement while reinforcing Bianchet's commitment to advanced materials.

Engineering At Its Absolute Limit

Powering the UltraFino Rotondo is the in-house Calibre UR01. Measuring only 3.85 mm in thickness and weighing less than 8 grams, the movement represents one of the most demanding achievements in contemporary watchmaking. Housing 225 components and an automatic flying tourbillon within such limited profile requires a complete rethinking of traditional mechanical architecture. Every fraction of a millimetre matters.

The titanium flying tourbillon completes a full rotation every sixty seconds, while a suspended mainspring barrel maximizes available space and delivers a 60-hour power reserve. An 18-carat rose gold rotor provides efficient winding while contributing to the movement's remarkable visual depth.

Each movement is assembled and finished by hand in the Bianchet atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds. More than thirty hours are devoted exclusively to hand bevelling the titanium bridges, a demanding craft requiring exceptional skill and patience. Every polished angle is created to capture and reflect light in a way no machine can reproduce.

It is this combination of engineering precision and artisanal mastery that transforms a movement into a work of Haute Horlogerie.
